Agency welcomes Things Fall Apart’s Phillip Sidberry

At Tantrum, we’ve always aspired to be an incubator for creativity. A place where ideas can take shape without judgement or pretense.

In many ways, Phillip Sidberry has embodied that aspiration since our earliest days. He was one of the first to see something in our brand, designing one of its very first physical expressions. That initial collaboration grew into multiple product partnerships, including the iconic black leather black Tantrum backpack that we are still asked about to this day. (Yep, Phillip did that.)

As we head into Year 8, we knew we needed someone who could continue to push us creatively. Phillip is absolutely that guy.

As founder of Things Fall Apart, a brand built on the belief that design can be both functional and reflective, Phillip brings a perspective that aligns deeply with how we work. As Creative-in-Residence, he’ll collaborate closely with our creative and strategy teams to explore new expressive approaches for the brand and help move the agency forward in meaningful ways.

Stay tuned for updates as Phillip’s residency unfolds. We can’t wait to show you what’s next!

About Phillip Sidberry: Phillip, a Mobile, Alabama native, has always had a passion for creative expression. Starting college in engineering, his artistic identity soon led him to design, launching his first brand in 2012. Though it found modest success, he discovered that storytelling, not sales, was his true passion. After ending his first brand, he partnered with two others to build Grail-ATL, transforming abstract ideas into usable products. The brand saw success, frequently selling out, but faced trademark challenges that led to an indefinite rebrand. Now, with experience, growth, and an understanding of the beauty in falling and rising again, Phillip introduces Things Fall Apart™— a testament to resilience, creativity, and self-discovery.
